GREENFIELD, Mass. -- An area father ruined his son's Saturday before it even began.
Police were called to the Holiday Inn Express after Tom Rogers, 47 years old, accidentally destroyed the waffle maker that was about to serve up a sweet breakfast to an entire 11U travel baseball team.
The ungainly clod over-filled the Belgian-style maker at 6:37 a.m., authorities said. Onlookers began pointing at the erupting machine and yelling "Hey, batter batter."
By 6:43 a hungover hotel employee was forced to shut down the entire breakfast nook, and wasn't taking no mess from no one.
Rogers's son, Jimmy, just stared at the floor, devastated by the realization that his entire team hates him. Even Derek.
This wasn't the first time Rogers has embarrassed the boy. In March, Jimmy had to call the fire department to come rescue his dad from a gas station bathroom.--SB!
